Camp Humility Starts Next Week!

This is just a quick notice to let all my readers know that the Second Annual Camp Humility starts Monday, May 23rd! There will be fun camping activities, campfire devotionals/discussions, and some cool giveaways to help us kick-off the summer season and go off to camp without ever leaving our computers. ;)

If you didn't get the chance to make it to Camp Humility 2010, check out these links from last year to see what this unique blogging event is all about:
So, will we have any returners to camp this year? If so, what did you enjoy most about last year's camp?

This year we'll be participating in some old favorites, but there will also be some new activities, new prizes, and hopefully some new campers, too! ;) Can't wait to see you there bright and early Monday morning!

Hi Amber:

A philosophical question:

“Should one be touting ‘Camp Humility’?”

What would your professors say?

Vince,

Only you, Vince, only you! Just kidding! ;)

You're quite right that this does seem a tad ironic or maybe even hypocritical... However, I'm just wanting to let my readers know to stop by next week for the camp posts! And while I do want to promote humility (is that a paradoxical phrase?), the name also identifies the post series with my blog. :)

But I won't tell my professors if you won't... ;)

If I signed up for this, am I enabling you to do something that might get you in trouble?? ;-)

Hi Amber:

Seriously, I don’t think your link is correct for the first link above: “Let’s go Camping”.

I want to do the rafting if you do it this year. But check this picture of my wife and I:

Notice: be sure to wear a rafting helmet!

Vince,

You're right! I just fixed it--sorry about that!

I have had a lot of fun rafting, so perhaps I should bring that back this year. :) I also really like canoeing, which is a little calmer, but not necessarily safer, as my dad and I found out one year when the wake from a motorboat tipped us into the middle of the river! ;)

That's amazing that you went rafting on the Amazon! You'll definitely have to share some of you stories with us if you stop by next week!
