Sunday by the Sea

I just got back from a Sunday stroll with my mom and sister on a trail that goes by the sea. Whether you live close to an ocean or not, I hope you get to spend some time outdoors today and enjoy the beauty of God's creation!

"When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands: thou hast put all things under his feet:
All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!"
~ Psalm 8:3-9

Have a wonderful Sunday!

(Note: The picture above is from my trip to Texas. Today I walked a part of the Hammond Trail in Northern California that goes through some of the woods and by the coast. I enjoyed the sunshine and seeing the beautiful sea!)

P.S. I like your new picture. ;) A Passion Most Pure was my favorite Julie Lessman book!

Happy Sunday Amber. :)

Wouldn't I love to change places with you! Can I interest you in a nice, scenic trip to Buffalo? There's only a couple feet of snow. I could definitely go for a walk on the beach right about now.

LOL. I was thinking about how blustery, snowy and cold it would be by the ocean, but I guess you don't have the frigid temperatures I do. I have the flu so I enjoyed the new fallen snow from my window. But it is beautiful and I am thankful to God for creating it!

Joy,

Happy Sunday to you, as well! :)

Hmmm...Buffalo... Well, it certainly would be interesting to visit the East Coast! ;) And I would love to see some snow, although I don't envy you the cold! It's cold here, for sure, but I'm sure it's not nearly as cold as where you are. Stay warm!

Kav,

It was definitely blustery and cold by the ocean here, but not too cold for a short walk--and no snow! ;)

I'm sorry you have the flu, and I hope you feel better soon! Thank you for sharing your positive attitude as you enjoy the beautiful snow. :)

Beautiful verses, my friend! And I'm so happy you, your mom and sister got to spend some special time together admiring the awesome work of the Lord- peaceful and restoring to be sure :) Standing next to His ocean can make you feel so small, but also so special. The same God who created all this wonder and majesty is mindful of YOU- His most beautiful creation :) What a mighty God we serve!

Praying you can enjoy many more such strolls with your dear family before school starts again :)

Blessings,
Amanda

P.S.- Just sent you an email- two actually ;)

Amanda,

They are, indeed! :) Thank you for sharing in our happiness; it was nice to just take a walk together and enjoy the lovely (if cold!) day.

Thank you for your kind reminders and your prayers, my friend! You are such a sweet friend, and your support has meant more to me (and my family) than you will ever know. :)

Amber, thank you my dear. It's for today only as I am a guest on Seekerville comments. Very nice people there, I can see why Julie has taken to a liking to them. You should join the party if you get a moment. ;)

Casey/Faith,

I heard about the party, and I stopped by briefly yesterday just to glance at the guests. ;) I'm sorry I didn't join in the fun--looks like ya'll had a great time!
