"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven..."
"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11 ~
(I took these photos yesterday on the Corban University nature trail. Yes, we had snow in my neck of the woods, and it was beautiful while it lasted!)

Beautiful pictures, Amber. We had two days of storms here -- 20 cm. of snow and freezing rain and it was a bear to navigate the streets but I couldn't help but feel awe at God's handiwork when I looked at the landscape around me! There was this one tree -- so graceful and serene with all of it's branches raised heavenward and all of them coated with glistening snow. It looked like the tree was praying!
Beautiful. Even though I do NOT like snow unless it comes with a day off from work (I live in the South and we panic at the mention of snow flurries), I so love looking at it. The way it blankets the ground and sits quietly, yet beautifully, on the limbs of trees around our home. Sort of gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling during those long winter-blues days.
Beautiful photos, Amber!
It looks as though you have slightly more than we had here on the other side of town: http://theloremistress.blogspot.com/2012/01/finally.html.
How pretty! Wish I could have been there to take the walk with you. I so love our walks together! Thanks for being an amazing daughter!
Love, Momma
Kav,
Thank you! And wow! Yeah...we just had a light dusting of snow, whereas it sounds like you have a lot to deal with up there! I admire you for seeing the beauty in the weather. :) That tree sounds simply gorgeous!

Savannah,
I love looking at the snow, too. :) It's interesting how something so cold can give you that warm, fuzzy feeling, isn't it? ;) But I agree - the gentle, calm loveliness of snow covering the ground and trees is a sweet sight, indeed!

Michelle,
Thank you! The snow melted pretty quickly, so I'm really glad I was able to go out and enjoy it while it was here. :)

Audrey,
Probably only just an itty-bit more. :) I love the pictures you posted on your blog!
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you are doing well!

Momma,
Aww, it would have been great to take a walk with you in the snow! I love our walks together, too. :) I miss you and love you so much!! Thank you for being such an amazing mom!
Love,
Amber
Beautiful pictures Amber! I love snow pictures even though I dislike the snow. Weird huh? I think I dislike it so much because when it snows where I am we are housebound for a week! It is pretty the first day, but after that I start getting cabin fever! And it seems all of the crazy drivers come out when it snows. I love your nature path pictures because they seem so peaceful.
Julie,
Thank you! And that's not super weird, LOL! I think that since snow is so rare here (and doesn't last very long) it's kind of like a treat. But I could imagine that it would be hard to deal with a ton of snow that never seems to stop!
I was definitely very blessed to enjoy the peacefulness of a light snow on our lovely nature trail. :) Hope you can enjoy the snow while still staying safe!

I especially like the snow on the pine needles!

Kathleen,
Isn't it so gentle and pretty? The snow we got was very light, and it was especially beautiful on the nature trail. :)
Thank you for stopping by!
