"Love Finds You" Blog Party Giveaways!

Welcome to the first day of the "Love Finds You" Blog Party!!! I am so excited to be the hostess of this party, and I'm so happy to celebrate this fantastic series with all of you!

Now, I realize that some of you may not be as familiar with this series as I am. The "Love Finds You" series is a collection of Christian romance stories set in various places (mainly in the United States) with unique town names and history. The stories range from historical to contemporary and are just as diverse as the towns themselves. The "Love Finds You" series is fun and inspirational, reminding readers that "Love Finds You" wherever God plans it to!

To start this party right, I have some great giveaways to announce! Every party has to have some sort of door prize, and this blog party is no exception.

The door prize is a "Christmas Tree of Truffles" gift from Harry & David! Click HERE to take a closer look at the truffles and what flavors this box includes. I just have to give away chocolate! ;)

All you need to do to enter the drawing for the door prize is leave a comment with your valid e-mail address. That's it!

And there is also a grand prize package!!! Here's what the prize package includes:

A copy of Love Finds You in Poetry, Texas,

a bracelet from Bug's Beads (made by my dear blogging friend, Casey),

and a $10 Amazon.com gift card!!!

Here's how you can enter the drawing for the grand prize package:
  • First entry: Leave a comment saying where love "found" you (if you are already engaged/married). If you're single, either let us know where love "found" your parents, grandparents, best friend, etc. OR tell us what your favorite "Love Finds You" book is!
  • One extra entry: Become a follower or let me know if you are already a follower.
  • Two extra entries: Grab the button for this party (located in the sidebar under "You're Invited!") and share it on your blog. (Also, remind me again if you've already done this!)
  • Three extra entries: Write a post about this party and include a link to this blog.
There are plenty of ways to enter! For the extra entries, please let me know which ones you have done (and maybe include a link to your blog if you share about the party). Thank you so much for helping me spread the word!

A couple of notes about the giveaways:
  • Thank you so much to Casey from Writing for Christ for contributing the book and the bracelet to the prize package! I am so grateful for your kindness and generosity!
  • Today's giveaways are for United States residents only. I apologize to our international guests. However, feel free to comment and join in the fun no matter where you're from! The more the merrier!
  • All this week's winners will be randomly chosen Thursday night (9:00 p.m. PST) and announced on Friday.
Again, welcome to the "Love Finds You" blog party!!! Remember--there's much more to come, including author interviews, more giveaways, and lots of entertainment!

  1. Your party is a great idea. I've read a number of the Love Find You books. It's a great series. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite. They're all good, although I'm partial to the historicals, since that's what I write. =)

I met my husband at an International Dinner. He'd taken a plate of chocolate chip cookies, which I really like. As he prepared to leave, I noticed his plate still held a cookie. I took it, introduced myself, and that moment led to a wonderful marriage. We'll be celebrating 23 years on December 19th.

(My address is on my Google profile. Just click on my name to be taken there.)

  2. Love this party. Good Christian books. Thank you.
I met my Hubby first on our road...and wouldn't go for a ride with him...I didn't know him. The next time was at the Bowling Alley...we have been married 43 years.

So my parents met each other because my grandma on my dad's side owned a quilting shop that my mom worked at. She says that they were never technically engaged, they just knew they would get married. Of course they're divorced now.... but oh well I guess.

  31. My grandparents met on a dare. My grandmother was high society and my grandfather wasn't. My grandfather's last girlfriend prior to my grandmother had said my grandfather wouldn't be able to get anyone better than her(the ex-girlfriend) and pointed toward my grandmother as an example of who he definitely could not get. Well he did and they got married. gasweetheart211[at]netscape[dot]net

  39. Oh, Amber, I would have been here sooner, my friend, but I have been so busy the past few days!

Since love hasn't found me yet, I'll share my parents story :) Love found my parents in 1978, at work. My dad helped my mom get her car out of its parking spot one day because both cars on either side of hers had parked so close and she was afraid she’d scratch them (or her own car!) trying to back out. My dad was in the parking lot and asked if she needed help… they’ve been together ever since! Oh, and he got the car out perfectly, without a single scratch ;) They’ll be married 30 years in May, but we all asked Christ to come into our hearts 16 years ago. At the time my parents had hit a rough patch, but when they came to the Lord, He restored their marriage and their love, and they renewed their wedding vows- wanting to pledge their love again as Christians and wanting the most important Guest of all to be present :) I stand in awe of the love they have for each other, for my brother and I, and most importantly, for the Lord. And, I am ever thankful for what God has done in our lives :)

Amber, this is such an awesome idea! These giveaways are so nice and Casey is so sweet for contributing! I’m really looking forward to this weeks fun and learning more about this series you love so much!!

  46. First time visitor to your blog, Ms. Amber --I've heard so much about these books! I've really wanted to read "LFY in Lahaina, HI" so it's good to see that it's a favorite of some (that means it's good, right?) Have you seen the "Princess Kaiulani" movie? It had a limited release earlier this year --it's fictionalized, of course, but I'm hoping to see it soon, since it's on DVD now . . . =)

Hmmm, I don't have a blog or a google account, so hopefully my parents story will be "lucky" LOL.
My parents came to know the Lord as adults and ended up going to the same church --they were friends and my mom tried to play "matchmaker" and tried to set my dad up with one of her girlfriends but it didn't work out --thankfully, for me and my four siblings. My dad likes to joke that they got married "late in life" (in their thirties, but that's not really old) so they "made up for it" when people think that my parents have a lot of kids (we don't really). =) And that's all I know . . .

Anyway, thank you so much for hosting and for the chance to win!

  47. I've only read a few LFY books, but I have several more on my wish list. I think my favorite is LFY in Sisters, Oregon.

My parents found love at the park in their neighborhood. My dad was working at the carousel, and my mom was there with her little cousin. As my mom tells it, Dad and a couple of his friends were across the way, and it was very obvious they were talking about her because they kept pointing. Apparently one of her brothers was among the bunch, because not long after that he brought Dad home, and they were together until Dad passed away a few months ago.

    Also, new follower here.

  58. First I want to say that I LOVE these books. Whenever I start one, I hate to put it down for ANY reason!!! Just finished the "Love ...in Poetry Texas" and it was fantastic as usual!
looking forward to reading many many more of them! I met my husband at a friend's daughter's birthday party....and neither one of us was "looking" for a spouse!! But we hit it off right away and it felt like we had known each other for years. We had both been divorced and each had 2 children...we married and had a child together. And have been married for 28.5 years!! And we renewed our vows on our 25th anniversary with our kids in the ceremony!
