I'm really excited about reading Nightingale by Susan May Warren, too. If it's anything like Sons of Thunder, I think neither of us will be able to put it down! ;)

~AmberAmber Holcombhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100265646497152198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4163733401418146284.post-12885414633764296822010-10-13T09:57:15.911-06:002010-10-13T09:57:15.911-06:00I'm glad you liked this one as much as I did. ...I'm glad you liked this one as much as I did. Thank YOU so much for writing such a wonde...Sarah,

Thank YOU so much for writing such a wonderful, inspirational, and authentic novel! :D

I was so excited when I saw your author bio, because my great uncle was also in WWII. He flew in a C-47, helping "kick" the cargo out of the plane. He was killed when one of the planes he was on crashed in Burma, and he was only in his early twenties. The remains of the plane he was on were found a while ago, and I was able to go with my dad to Washington D.C. this summer to see the funeral for the crew members (66 years after the crash).

Anyway, I have been so inspired and touched by my experience there and learning a little about his life. :)

Sorry for the rambling! Thank you again for stopping by!

~AmberAmber Holcombhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100265646497152198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4163733401418146284.post-75145507347765130942010-10-12T17:05:09.264-06:002010-10-12T17:05:09.264-06:00Amber - thank you so much for your lovely review -...Amber - thank you so much for your lovely review - and from an English major no less :) I'm glad you enjoyed Jack & Ruth's story!

And I'm glad you enjoyed The Waiting too.
