Welcome Christmas with This Festive Novella Blog Tour! | Introduction Post

With Thanksgiving 2018 now a memory and December less than a week away, it's time to deck the blogs with Christmas posts! I'm thrilled to be the coordinator for this tour on behalf of author Cindy Vincent. :) Yes, Carol...It's Christmas! is a contemporary novella that reimagines A Christmas Carol with a former party host as the heroine. Keep reading to learn more about the book, Cindy, the tour schedule, and the tour-wide giveaway...

About the Book

As the top salesperson for Pfunn Party Supplies, Carol Frost doesn’t exactly know how to have fun herself these days. Though she wasn’t always such a humbug. Once upon a time, she was famous for hosting Christmas parties that were filled with everything from laughing guests and luscious hors d’oeuvres, to artfully iced sugar cookies and creatively decorated Christmas trees. To top it off, she even wrote a bestselling book that became the authoritative tome on Christmas party entertaining at the time—The Complete, Total, Ultimate, Everything-You-Might-Possibly-Want-to-Know Guide to Hosting the Best Christmas Parties Ever.

Yet that was long ago, before her life changed and she stashed her tinsel and twinkle lights away once and for all. And while Carol soon learned to settle for her boring but comfortable existence, an old friend knows that Carol isn’t really living up to her potential. An old friend who . . . well . . . now enjoys her eggnog in the afterlife, you might say. To goad Carol into going back to her former party-hosting ways, said friend sends three of her specter pals to pester Carol. Then, much to Carol’s annoyance, she is visited by the Ghost Hosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future on a plane filled with plenty of holiday revelers. And though Carol only wants to be left alone, the Ghost Hosts have other plans. Instead, they take her on an adventure that wasn’t exactly on her itinerary . . . or printed on her ticket stub. From that moment on, Carol’s life will never be the same. Provided, of course, she survives the jingle-bell rollercoaster of a ride and makes it home in time for Christmas . . .

A favorite Christmas in the past was the year we couldn't get to my daughters in-laws to celabrate because of snow. We were so disappointed but my daughters father-in-law who didn't mind driving in snow decided we could not miss it so he came and picked us up! We ended up spending the night. I will never forget what a gracious host he was and how important it was to him for all of us to be together. And one more...one year my mom bought all of us red sweats andI stenciled rudolph for the guys and Christmas trees for the girls on them. The whole family was comfy and we all had fun!

One of my favorite Christmas memories was the year we spent the holiday at a cabin in the mountains with my family, grandparents, and uncle.

Merry Christmas, Amber! So nice to have you hosting another Christmas blog tour for me. When was our first . . . let's see, I believe it was Buckley and Bogey's The Case of the Crafty Christmas Crooks. Lots of great memories with that one. Now here we are, with another Christmas tour! So much fun, and what a perfect way to kick off the Christmas season!

Merry Christmas to you too, Cindy!

I believe that was the first book I edited for you too, and what a wonderful little Christmas story! Love all the memories we've made and all the projects we've been able to work on together. :) Definitely fitting and fun to be doing another Christmas-themed blog tour! Excited for all the posts to come this week!

I think that our most memorable Christmas is the year that we were building our house. We had 4 children from 2 to 8 and were living in a 20 foot travel trailer. We woke up with 5 inches of new snow on the ground. Our Christmas tree that year was a big tumbleweed with green mini lights on it.

My very favorite Christmas was the very first one after I had my first child. My son, Raymond, was only four months old, so he didn’t really know what Christmas was about. But oh to see Christmas through his eyes that year back in 1979 was so magical! He was so fascinated with the lights and the tree. And helping him open all his Christmas presents was so much fun! When reading him “The Night Before Christmas”, it even made me believe that Santa would be coming on our rooftop with all his reindeer! Such a beautiful, fascinating and exciting Christmas that was in 1979! It has been so much fun for me right now remembering that special time! Thank you so much dearest, sweet, beautiful Cynthia for this awesome giveaway! Love and big hugs to you and your precious Buckley, Bogey, and Amelia! Merry Christmas to you and your precious family!

Hi, Cheryl!

Aww, what memories! I asked Josh if he remembered it, and I guess that's the kind of Christmas you don't forget. ;) I love that you made it special with a tumbleweed for a Christmas tree! I bet things were crowded but cozy, especially with the fresh snow and all the family together. ♥

Thanks for sharing!

It'll be just hubs & myself for Christmas Day this year for the first time ever! We haven't really decided on anything other than there will be Honey Baked Ham, even though it's just the two of us. LOL
MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'all!!

Robin,

I can totally relate! It'll likely be just my husband and me for Christmas this year too. And ham is probably going to be on the menu. ;) That's what my mom always cooked for Christmas when I was growing up, and Josh loves the opportunity for yummy leftovers!

I hope you have a peaceful, delightful Christmas with your husband! Thanks so much for stopping by. :)
