SUCH a classic! :D How fun that you showed it in class today!!!

That is an interesting point about the language...but I think you're right in that it has plenty of action to keep a child's interest. And I just love Bing Crosby narrating it! :)

~AmberAmber Holcombhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100265646497152198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4163733401418146284.post-46279101172547485142010-10-29T21:35:27.833-06:002010-10-29T21:35:27.833-06:00Kav,

I know--Linus is very optimistic through all the trials and criticism he faces. ;)

And yes, I'm sure I will be watching the Christmas one in about a month! :D I love the play they do and the little Christmas tree Charlie Brown rescues. So cute!

I hope you enjoy In Every Heartbeat! I'll be curious to read your review. Sawyer is a great writer, even if I did prefer A Hopeful Heart to this particular book.

~AmberAmber Holcombhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100265646497152198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4163733401418146284.post-39558812413303999332010-10-29T21:32:52.430-06:002010-10-29T21:32:52.430-06:00Hannah,

Be sure and thank your mom for whipping us up a batch. ;)

I'm sorry you missed out on watching It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! :( I hope you get to watch it sometime soon. It's so cute! :D

You're welcome for the giveaway! Thank YOU for entering! ;)

And thank you so much for those kind words. You are a dear, dear friend, and I'm thankful for all of your encouragement!

~AmberAmber Holcombhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100265646497152198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4163733401418146284.post-67607530175809050892010-10-29T19:54:51.523-06:002010-10-29T19:54:51.523-06:00Oooh, I LOVE The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I just ...Oooh, I LOVE The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. I just showed it in class today as a matter of fact. I don't know if you've watched it lately, but the language in that movie is so hard to understand (I don't remember that as a kid, but noticed it since I started showing it at school), but children love it anyway because of all the action in the cartoon.Joy Tamsin Davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11559855237654982212noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4163733401418146284.post-30483109012374461142010-10-29T16:56:03.228-06:002010-10-29T16:56:03.228-06:00I haven't watched a Halloween special in ages ...I haven't watched a Halloween special in ages but I caught It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. You've got to love Linus's optimisim! Guess that means you'll be watching A Charlie Brown Christmas in a month or so, eh?

My guess is that you didn't watch Halloween Haunts. But I live in Canada so don't enter me in the draw PLUS I have the book. Haven't read it yet though!Kavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03719229222267994577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4163733401418146284.post-30952347259883866012010-10-29T16:51:43.268-06:002010-10-29T16:51:43.268-06:00Hello, my dear!

It hasn't been my intentions at all, it's just been a really, really...tough week let's say. I've been dealing with some issues and coming to some really scary revelations as far as my arthritis and carpal tunnely stuff is concerned, unfortunately.

BUT since I'm here it's time to celebrate! LOL! I've brought some of my mom's scrum-didly-umptious homemade sugar cookies. We've got ghosts, pumpkins, bats, and fall colored leaves here folks!! Eat up!! They're yummy, trust me *grin*

I have a feeling that you guys didn't watch the Disney Halloween Haunts this year. We love those little duckies too, but something tells me you might've outgrown it for now until you have kids maybe : ) However the other two ARE classics definitely!! My mom watched Charlie Brown last night on TV, but since I was at school I couldn't : (

Thanks for this giveaway, Amber! I haven't read anything by Kim Vogel Sawyer, but she's supposed to be awesome!! Thanks again. Hopefully we'll talk soon. You know I always love talking to you, so full of wisdom and there's just a wonderful calm, sense of peace, around your words always.
Hannah
hccelie[at]gmail[dot]comProject Journalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01996866245417584719noreply@blogger.com
