Fall in Love with Mr. Darcy | Join the Pride and Prejudice Read-Along!

Confession: I've never read Pride & Prejudice.

I know! It's terrible. I think it's about time I fix that, don't you?

And if you've also never read the book, or are simply looking for an excuse to re-read it, I invite you to join me for the Pride & Prejudice Read-Along during the month of October!

Here's what you can expect...
  • Reading two chapters per day (except for the last day, when we'll only read one chapter)
  • Discussing the book every Tuesday, for a total of five discussions (on the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st)
  • Having lots of fun chatting with other Jane Austen fans
  • Quite possibly falling in love with a fictional character ;)
Want to join? Feel free to take the button above to share on your blog or social media sites! You can also continue the conversation on Twitter using #InspiredByAusten
(For those who participated in the Persuasion read-along, I hope you don't mind I'm recycling that hashtag! Keeps things simple. :))
I can't wait to start another read-along with you!

P.S. Explore past Jane Austen read-alongs at these links: Persuasion and Prayers Read-Along; Northanger Abbey Read-Along; Emma Read-Along

I'm squealing with delight here!!! P&P is my absolute favorite Austen read! I can't wait to participate! I hope you all love it as much as I do and I can't wait to re-read it again. Woohoo! Now the question is which of my copies do I read? I think I might go for the electronic copy as my eyes are getting old and it is so much easier to read on that than the smaller print books. But I love to be able to underline in a book. Hmmmm, such a quandary! Thanks so much for hosting the read-along again Amber! It will be wonderful!

Aaah! I so want to! I've been wanting to reread it for AGES and just... haven't. So I'm so excited for this! :D I so hope I'll be able to participate... it depends how busy I am with NaNoWriMo prep. XD But will definitely make an effort! YAY! (Also, you haven't read Mr. Darcy's book? :O FOR SHAME. Juuust kidding. ;)) Thanks for hosting this! :D

Julie,

This makes me so happy!! I love your enthusiasm, and you're getting me more excited to read P&P! :) That's quite high praise indeed, to hear it's your favorite Austen book!

You'll have to let us know which copy you decide to read. :) (I love that you have multiple copies!) Mine is the one pictured in the button. (Granted, I messed around with the coloring in that photo, but the cover actually is pink, LOL.) I think I got it at Target years ago...?

Anyway, excited to read this with you!

Deborah,

Isn't it so hard to make time to re-read old favorites...especially with so many new books to enjoy? But I do hope you'll be able to join us and enjoy a re-read of this book! :D

And LOL...I probably deserve a bit of shaming. ;) Who knows how I got a degree in English without reading Pride & Prejudice??? Haha. ;)

Also, that's awesome you're planning to participate in NaNoWriMo! It's definitely good to prioritize writing time. :) Here's hoping you might be able to prep for that and join the read-along! (But I completely understand either way!)
