A Fun and Colorful Summer Refreshment!

Summer is here, and now is a great time to celebrate the season with some cool, colorful drinks! I follow a blog called Sugar Bean Bakers, and a recent post there included a super-easy, super-fun recipe for making something like this:

Yep, I tried it out, and it really worked! My mom, my sister, and I all loved it!

Aren't they lovely?? So pretty!

So check out the directions for making "Layered Drinks" (from Sugar Bean Bakers blog) - I think you might just love them, too!

P.S. I used Sobe (Cranberry Grapefruit), Gatorade Perform Low-Cal (Glacier Freeze), and VitaminWater Zero (Orange) to get the multi-colored drinks you see above. They tasted kind of like tropical-flavored cotton candy. =)

I didn't know you followed Tina at Sugar Bean Bakers! She's been a friend of mine online for about 12 years (I think you might already know that from my blog, though). :)

She's funny, creative, and an all around great lady!

I think these drinks look really neat too, and can't wait to try them! My kids will really love it (and me and the hubs, too!)

Michelle,

You know, I'm pretty sure it was through your blog that I found her site. :) Her pictures are always so beautiful/yummy-looking! ;) That's so cool that you've been friends online for 12 years!!

When I saw the "Layered Drinks" post and read about how easy it was to make them, I knew that I had to see if we had some drinks that would work... And we did! This was so simple and so fun to do! I think ya'll will definitely love them. :)

I agree, Amber! Everything looks so good on her site! If you haven't tried the Cheesy Potato Soup, the Chicken Tortilla Soup, or her Cheddar Bay Biscuit clone, I highly recommend those! :D

Amanda,

Hahaha, I like the sound of that! ;) I've still got a long way to go, but one step at a time, right? :)

Glad I could share this with ya'll! I appreciate you stopping by. :)

Tina,

My pleasure! Thank you so much for sharing about this simple trick to making such pretty drinks! :)

I just looked for some drinks we had in our fridge already, and these ones worked since they were at different sugar levels. I was so happy with how pretty the colors were together! :)
