Monday for the Military

Last week's guest was Maureen Lang, author of "The Great War" series. If you missed the interview, I encourage you to click HERE and read it - I think you'll be touched by Maureen's responses!

And now for last week's winner:

Lgm52!!

Congratulations! Be on the lookout for my e-mail!

I don't have anyone new to introduce ya'll to this week. But I wanted to ask you - is there something you'd like to see for this feature? Would you like to meet more military members (and their families)? Or more authors who focus on the military? Do you enjoy the military-themed book/movie reviews? (I bought a cute military romance movie several weeks ago at a Hallmark store that I could write about if you're interested!)

Let me know! I've been blessed by all the wonderful people I've come in contact with through this feature, and I hope you've been blessed, as well. =)

I'd enjoy hearing about books centred around the military. There are so many out there and I'm sure I'm not on top of them all. Thinking Cheryl Wyatt would be a good author to interview. And doesn't Debby Giusi have a military suspense out in October?

I'd be interested in your movie reviews as well. Now, here's a trivia question for you -- I remembering catching the very beginning of a movie about a woman who wrote to a soldier overseas as part of a church project and then he comes home with some real issues and travels to her town but doesn't reveal that he's the soldier she's been writing to. I was hooked but my cable kicked out and I missed over half of the movie and I haven't been able to find the title. Have you seen that one? Do you know the title?

Kav,

Good to know! :) I've actually been in contact with Cheryl Wyatt, and she'll be visiting sometime in the next couple of months. :) Oh, and I should contact Debby, too!

Hmmm... As for the movie, that sounds a tad bit like The Christmas Card, which I reviewed last year:

But I'm not sure if that's the one, since you left a comment then saying you had seen it...

The one I just bought recently has to do with a little boy writing to a soldier, and then he comes to visit and falls in love with the mom. :) Super cute!

Renee,

I bought Soldier Love Story. :) Loved it! Maybe I'll have to watch it again if I decide to write a review... ;)

Hi Amber:

I'd love to see you do an interview with a romance author who is actually in the military. I know that Merline Lovelace did this but I am sure she is out of the service by now. The real trick would be finding an author.

Vince,

Interesting challenge! I think that would be really neat to meet some authors who are currently in the military or who have served recently. Hmmm... Let me know if you think of anyone, and I'll see what I can do in the meantime! :)
